For sale is this incredible authentic vellum hand written manuscript. This antique document is handwritten in a black ink on a large selection of vellum. Vellum is traditionally made from animal skin that has been stretched, sun bleached, and tanned, to form a paper like writing surface (that can withstand water and temperature). It was a common writing medium for manuscripts from this period and before. This piece would have once functioned as a legal document, and would have been used as some kind of contract. It is all original. This piece would be perfect as a research piece, display piece, decor piece, conversation piece, gift, teaching tool, or addition to any collection! Provenance: this piece came from a private US based collection of “Late and post medieval indenture manuscripts”. It is guaranteed authentic. As a genuine antique, this piece will show signs of wear, and may have stains, stray marks, folds, small tears, or other blemishes. Please study the photos carefully.
